Easy Crock Pot Chicken Tacos

For those of you that know me. You know that I like to keep my life simple. I LOVE to eat but I am not a fan of spending more than an hour in the kitchen. My chicken taco recipe takes about 5 minutes of your time in the morning to throw in the crock pot and 10-15 minutes to prepare it when it is dinner time. It can not get any easier than that!

Easy Crock Pot Chicken Tacos for #tacotuesday

Ingredients

4 large chicken breast ( I typically do a large chicken breast per person )

16 oz. jar of salsa verde

1 large onion ( sliced, diced or chopped )

2 cups of chicken stock

2 tbsp. cumin powder

Salt and pepper ( optional - to taste )

Corn or flour tortilla. Which ever you prefer.

Whatever fixings you like on your tacos. Lettuce, tomatoes, beans, sour cream etc......

  • Put chicken, onion, salsa, chicken stock, cumin and salt and pepper into crock pot.

  • Set on low and cook for 6-8 hours.

  • When ready. Shred the chicken.

  • Warm up your tortillas on a griddle or pan

Put together your taco and enjoy!

This chicken is great for tacos, quesadillas and taco salads. Dinner doesn't get much easier than this.
